What is a murder mystery party?
A role-playing game where everyone plays a character and enjoys the party… until one of the guests is murdered, and it’s up to you to find out who did it.
A few days before the game, players receive their character, their connections to others and costume tips. At the start everyone gets an envelope with goals; after the murder, a new envelope with new goals and perhaps evidence. The victim isn’t out – they get a new role.
At the end everyone reviews the evidence, makes an accusation and votes for the best-dressed character and best performance.
The games are run in partnership with Morðgátufélagið in our hall. Drinks can be bought at the bar or pre-ordered. Bookings depend on availability on the chosen date.

Where is Skemmtigarðurinn?
In Gufunes, Grafarvogur, 112 Reykjavík. From Gullinbrú bridge drive straight for about 1 km – you can't miss the big pirate ship on your left. Drive through the large gate into the park.
Are you open all year?
Yes! We welcome groups all year round, every day from 09:00–23:00 by booking. Mini golf and football golf are open to the public in summer (see the opening hours on each activity page).
What is the minimum group size?
Most activities have a minimum of 6 people. Some activities and packages require 10 people, and kids' birthday parties 15 children. The minimum is listed on each page.
How do I cancel?
Bookings can be cancelled and refunded with three working days' notice. Email info@skemmtigardur.is. See our terms for details.
